Guava BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

You only need 5 ingredients to make this delicious homemade fruity BBQ sauce!

• Guava Paste
• BBQ Sauce
• Garlic
• Lime Juice
• Apple Cider Vinegar

How to make guava BBQ sauce

• In a medium saucepan, combine all of the ingredients.
• Bring to a slow simmer and stir until the guava paste has melted and the sauce is smooth.

How long does homemade BBQ sauce keep?

This sauce will keep well for up to 10 days. Make the sauce and let it cool to room temperature before storing it in a sealable glass jar.

If you are using it to glaze meats, you can warm it through on the stovetop before brushing it over. You can also use it cold, straight from the fridge as a delicious dip.

What is guava?

Guava is a tropical fruit that is found in Central and South America and across the Caribbean. It has a sweet and floral flavor, somewhere between a mango, pear and a strawberry. It’s sweetness works so well with the smokey and tangy flavors of BBQ sauce.
