Frequently Asked Questions
You can make these chocolate and strawberry cheesecake parfaits up to a day ahead of time. Leave off the toppings, and cover the glasses with some plastic wrap to keep them fresh. When you are ready to serve, just add the toppings and take them to the table. Easy!
Yes, of course! I went for strawberries to make them a great Valentine’s worthy dessert, but you can use whatever you have. Sliced bananas, blueberries and raspberries all work great.
I prefer to use fresh fruits for this dessert, but you can use frozen if that’s what you have. Thaw the frozen fruit completely and pat lightly with kitchen paper before slicing and using.
Recipe Notes and Tips
- Soften the cream cheese before using. I like to take mine out of the fridge about 30 minutes before I’m ready to use it. When softened, it will incorporate more easily with the other ingredients.
- I prefer to use full fat cream cheese for a richer and creamier texture, but you can use low fat if you prefer.
Make your Valentine’s Day special dinner a breeze by making this delicious chocolate and strawberry cheesecake parfait the morning of or even the day before, so that you can enjoy more quality time with your special someone. I’m sure we can all appreciate the little extra time. 😉
Unless, you plan to eat out, which is awesome too. In that case, just make this dessert any other day. I’m sure it will still taste just as good!
