Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound rotini or penne pasta (454 g)
  • 12 ounces canned tuna, drained (340 g)
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise (75 g)
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped (75 g)
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped (75 g)
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped (100 g)
  • 3/4 cup sweet corn, drained (120 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (3 g), or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar (10 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon green onion, thinly sliced (15 g), for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until tender but still firm.
  • Drain and rinse lightly with cold water. Let cool completely.
  • In a large bowl, combine pasta and tuna, breaking the tuna apart gently.
  • Add mayonnaise, bell peppers, red onion, and corn. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Add vinegar and salt. Stir well and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Garnish with green onions and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
  • Add more mayonnaise if you prefer a creamier texture.
  • Ensure pasta is fully cooled before mixing.
