Raspberry Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raspberries
  • ¾ cup ganulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lime slice

Instructions

  • In a small skillet, heat the raspberries, sugar, lemon juice, water, and a lemon slice over medium-high heat.
  • Lower the heat when it starts to boil. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the raspberries have melted.
  • Take it off the heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Pass the liquid through a strainer and store it in the refrigerator in a sealed container.
