Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh papaya, peeled, seeded and cubed
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar, plus more if needed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and mix on high speed until the ice is well blended. Add more sugar if desired and blend for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Save leftover papaya and cut in chunks to store in the freezer to make more later. To ensure that it’s preserved properly, place in a freezer-safe container and keep chunks from touching to avoid them getting stuck to each other.
  • When making this papaya milkshake recipe, you may opt for vanilla ice cream, instead of vanilla extract if it’s not accessible. Make sure to blend accordingly.
  • You may opt for honey, stevia, or no added sweetener if sugar is not included in your diet.
