Easy Dominican Style Flatbread Chimi Pizza
Inspired by the popular Dominican burger, Chimi, traditionally served by street vendors in the Dominican Republic, this pizza is made with flatbread, sausage, cabbage, onions, tomatoes and a mayo-ketchup sauce.

- 2 cured sausage links
- 1 Flatbread
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup cabbage , shredded
- 1 tablespoon red onions , sliced
- 4 slices tomatoes
Preheat skillet at medium high heat.
Take sausage out of its casing and break up into small pieces. Add to the skillet and saute, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked, about 5 minutes. Remove into a plate lined with a paper towel and reserve.
In a small bowl, mix together the mayo and ketchup until all combined. Set aside.
Place flatbread on a clean heated skillet to warm up on both sides, about 30 seconds on each side. Remove from the skillet and place on a flat dish or surface.
Add about 1 teaspoon of the mayo-ketchup sauce to the flatbread. Then, add the sausage, cabbage, onions and tomato, respectively. Top with more mayo-ketchup sauce.
Serve immediately.
