Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, diced
  • ½ cup red onion, diced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black ground pepper

Instructions

  • Dice strawberries, onion, and jalapeño into small cubes and place in a large bowl. Add chopped fresh cilantro, lime juice (freshly squeezed is best), and salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together to combine.
  • Serve with corn chips or pita chips. You can also serve it as a topping for grilled fish, shrimp and/or chicken.

Notes

This salsa is best served fresh immediate after you make it. You can also store it in a sealed air-tight container and place in the fridge for a few days. But I do not recommend storing it much longer.
