This mango mojito is one of my favorites, competing really close with this cherry mojito. The brown sugar works so well with the tropical mango and gives this mojito a distinctive taste, and the burst of mint is wonderfully refreshing.
This is one summer cocktail you’ll want to make time and time again!

Frequently Asked Questions
If you want to get ahead of things, you can make up this cocktail up to the point of adding ice and the seltzer and keep it covered in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Add the ice and seltzer water just before serving so that the drink isn’t diluted.
Yes, you can easily make this into a pitcher cocktail, perfect if you are hosting a party. This recipe is for one drink, so simply multiply the ingredients and make it in a large pitcher instead of a glass.
You can of course serve this mango mojito as is, but I do prefer to garnish it. Not only does it look pretty but the aromas hit your nose before you take the first sip and help to enhance the flavors. Some slices of fresh lime, cubes of mango, and a sprig of mint help this drink to come alive.
Recipe Notes and Tips
- Brown sugar adds a great complex and sweet flavor. In a pinch you can use granulated sugar, but brown sugar really does work wonders!
- Use freshly squeezed lime juice. Bottled just doesn’t have the same zingy flavor.
- Use a white rum for this mango mojito. Mojitos are traditionally a rum based drink, but you could use vodka or gin as well.
